Greg Boyd is an internationally-recognized theologian, preacher, teacher, apologist and author. He has been featured on the front page of The New York Times, The Charlie Rose Show, CNN, National Public Radio, the BBC and numerous other television and radio venues. Greg Boyd is the co-founder of Woodland Hills Church in St. Paul, Minnesota where he serves as Senior Pastor, speaking to thousands each week. He may be contacted via his website.

Greg’s website www.reknew.org includes some good (and sometimes quite deep – Greg being a theologian) studies. His website URL comes from the phrase ReThink everything you thought you Knew. And he does advocate rethinking what we know about God as there has been so much wrong thinking in the past. He explores topics like free will and open theism which I find quite interesting but haven’t thoroughly investigated yet.

Greg Boyd - Crucifixion of the Warrior GodGreg is big on this question:

“The Old Testament often portrays God as either doing, commanding, or threatening violence. For many, this is a huge problem because these depictions contradict the way Jesus lived and commanded. What are we to do with this contradiction?”

Greg has done much to deal with that question including his books (22 published) especially the recent “The Crucifixion of the Warrior God.”

In the video below (7 min) Greg makes a very good point that should lead us often in scripture to ask the question “Is there something else going on?”
