Ty Gibson

Ty Gibson is Co-director of Light Bearers Ministry and pastor of Storyline Adventist Church. “Light Bearers’ mission is to vindicate the beauty of God’s character.”

Ty teaches on a variety of topics, emphasizing God’s unfailing love as the central theme of the Bible. He has authored eight best-selling books, including his newest, A God Named Desire, which paints a compelling picture of God’s character.

I have read a number of his books and just happened again over this insightful explanation:

“A more careful look at the record in Genesis reveals that the tree of knowledge of good and evil was a protective arrangement intended to preserve love. It represented a restriction placed upon Satan, limiting his access to Adam and Eve, while granting them the freedom essential for love to exist. The fact that God warned them about this one particular tree suggests that the enemy could only approach them at that single location if they chose to go there. Satan could not pursue them.
